BE WITH JESUS!

Worship and Prayer

~ We believe true worship and prayer are Spirit empowered, wholehearted expressions of loving thankfulness and surrender to Jesus Christ and to the Father who loves us and sent him to die in our place. ~

John 4:24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Ephesians 5:18-21 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints

BECOME LIKE JESUS!

The Word and the Holy Spirit

~ We believe in Spirit led biblical teaching that points to life changing application. We believe that the Bible is the authoritative word of God and that it points to Jesus as the foundation of His Church and it is that foundation that determines who the Church should be.

The Holy Spirit is God ever present with us. He is our comforter, teacher, source of spiritual gifts, and God’s seal marking us as His children. We believe that the Holy Spirit works in us with transformation power to set us free from our old selves to be made into new creations!  ~

2 Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke,

and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will

not endure sound teaching but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

1 Peter 1:22-23 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

DO WHAT JESUS DID!

Love - Good Works - Good News

~ We believe the Holy Spirit leads us and equips us to show God’s love:

In the Church - In our Community - In the World

We do not believe that we are saved by works, but we do believe that the expected outflow of a life that has been saved and transformed by the Power of the Spirit of Christ, is a life filled with the same kind of works that Jesus devoted himself to. ~

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Hebrews 13:16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Galatians 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Romans 10:14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

James 2:14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions?  Can that kind of faith save anyone?

John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

We

Believe

The Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
